This service aims to prevent loneliness and isolation among older people living in their own homes. Loneliness creeps up on you as families move away, friends are no longer able to meet you and health, strength and confidence decline.

Volunteers may read to you, chat, play cards or help with a cross word. Often help with shopping, take you out to the local garden centre or go with you to the Dentist.

Visiting times are arranged to suit you and normally last a couple of hours.

Normally every other week.
